Do you want to discover the Peak District on your bike, with route ideas to get away from it all, or spend time with your friends and family? Have you watched, or taken part in a cycling event in the Peak District? If so, I hope you find this website useful, and that it inspires you to get out and ride your bike in the Peak District!

The Peak District is an excellent place to enjoy cycling, with destinations to suit everyone, from flat trails to challenging climbs, off-road terrain or quiet lanes. The spectacular scenery is amongst the best in the world, with extremes from wild windswept moorland, to pretty chocolate box villages.

I started this website to share my love of cycling and the Peak District, through my blog, photographs and videos. After spending a lot of my time as a kid on my bike, I did the common thing of stopping cycling when I got my driving licence. It wasn’t until 2008, that I was motivated to get back on the bike, by which point I had become a podgy couch potato with an sit down office job. The comeback all started, (rather wobbly) on the High Peak Trail, and I haven’t looked back since.

There was no doubt it was hard work at first, I was so unfit that every small incline felt like climbing a mountain! With a bit of perseverance however, the hills that used to wipe me out are now bumps in the road, and I even tackle, albeit slowly, some of the toughest climbs in the Peak District, including Mam Tor, the Cat & Fiddle and Pym Chair in the Goyt Valley.
